Why you should use the Return to Work survey
Understand the physical, emotional and mental wellbeing of newly returned workers.
Whatever the reason for extended absence from work - parental leave, illness or disability - returning can be a pressure point for employees and organisations. It’s important to open dialogue and give them a place to share their experience, perspective on how the organisation supported them and if they have what they need.
Return to Work questions
- How ready did you feel to return to work?
- How comfortable did you feel about your return to work?
- How energised did you feel to return to work?
- To what extent do you feel you are contributing to the success of the organisation since your return?
- How satisfied were you with the extent your organisation kept you informed of changes and updates during your absence?
- When returning to work how clear were you on the outcomes expected from your role?
- How well were you informed of the processes and policies that applied to you during your absence?
- To what extent do you feel that your organisation listened to your support and/or adjustment needs when you returned to work?
- To what extent do you have access to the things you need in order to support your return to work?
- How satisfied are you with the learning opportunities on offer since your return?
- To what extent do you feel you are coming back to a role that is the same as or equal to your role before your absence?
- How well do you feel your absence was culturally accepted? For example, were you made to feel guilty for taking your absence?
