How can we help you today?

The Happiness Index and Mimecast

What is Mimecast?

Mimecast is a great tool for managing your business's email needs. Its stringent security layer helps keep your inbox free of nasty things like phishing emails, malware and spam.

How does it affect email deliverability?

The Happiness Index will often be required to send out large quantities of emails, in one batch. This can occasionally cause unwanted problems. Lots of emails from one sender are a big "Red flag” to Mimecast. They can be misinterpreted as something more malicious.

What can you do?

Luckily, there are some simple steps you can take to ensure our emails find their way through Mimecast’s security layer, and make their way to your recipients' inboxes:

  • Log on to the Administration Console.
  • Click on the Administration menu item - a menu drop-down will be displayed.
  • Click on the Gateway | Policies menu item. The Gateway Policy Editor will be displayed. From this menu the Auto Allow, Permitted Senders and Greylisting options are available. Click on each of these options and a list of policies will be displayed.

For each of these options, select either:

  • Policy to be changed
  • New Policy button, if you want to create a policy.

You must create a policy under each of these three options:

  • Apply an Auto Allow policy
  • Permitted Senders
  • Greylisting

For each of these policies you must fill out the required policy options.

Ensure you include the following fields:

  • Under the Emails From section, within the Applies From option, add @email.thehappinessindex.com in the Specifically field.
  • Under the Validity section, within the the Source IP Ranges option, add our IP address: 213.32.142.165.
