Decide your strategic programme
This list contains questions and prompts to ensure internal alignment during the onboarding journey.
Programme Vision
- Where are you in your Listening Strategy now?
- What are your current expectations v’s future goals?
Partnership Objectives
- How would you measure project success with THI?
- What KPI’s can we agree on together?
Roles & responsibilities
Project Sponsor
- Accountable for delivering against project KPIs
- Business interest is project success
- Will have a need to be kept informed of key milestones and outcome
Project Lead
- Key contact for THI
- Frontline support for your business
- Ability to communicate decisions
- Understands business needs
Stakeholders
- Person(s) with a business interest in the success of the project
- Support point for workstream requirements: Communication Strategy, Data workflows, Change management
Design your survey programme
A dependency to finalising timelines and milestones for the survey programme is often based on the key ‘in’ and ‘out’ of scope decisions being made around the following:
- Audience & Timings
- Survey Branding / Theme & Identity
- Communication both pre and post survey launch and close
- Delivery / Administration
- People Data / Segmentation
- IT / Testing
- Reporting & Next Steps
Here are some questions we will be looking to answer:
What surveys and when?
- What feedback are you looking to gain in your first year?
- Will you use Pre Built THI Surveys, create your own or both?
Survey execution
- Who will send the survey?
- Who will receive the survey?
- When is the best time to reach your people? (not when you will get the best score - embrace the negative, this is your biggest indicator)
- How will they receive the survey? E.g. Email, QR Code, SMS, Link (this will be driven by your employee data and employee device access)
- What does the invite say?
- How long is the survey open for?
- Are there any accessibility needs?
- What does your pre and post communication plan look like?
Survey insight and actions
- Who should see the results?
- How do you want to filter your results?
- Who will access the online dashboard and what permissions should they have?
Project Considerations
- Consider your score / insight expectation and positioning on Response Rates, Scores and Measure v’s feeling.
- What are your ‘essential’ v’s ‘nice to have’ requirements for your first launch?
- Do you have any timings in mind or can these be determined after scoping?
- Do you have any concerns from previous experiences or challenges that would be good for us to understand?
- We should consider the ‘out of scope’ requirements just as much as ‘in scope’ and understand why it’s important to park some elements for now.
- The biggest challenges and risks are often due to undefined scope and things that haven’t been discussed. If there are risks that you feel could impact the project success, it would be great to work openly through them.
