SMS Costs

General information

At The Happiness Index our platform offers the ability to send survey invites via SMS (text message).

Unlike sending invites by email there is a cost associated with sending invites via SMS and the cost per invite will be based upon the length of the invite and how many text messages would be required.

For messages sent to employees in the UK THI charges double the current SMS rate.

For messages sent to international employees THI charges 3 times the current SMS rate.

The minimum number of SMS invites we will process is 250 and there is a £100 admin fee to process the SMS invites.


Example cost to send 250 invites to employees in the UK

  • For this example lets use a cost per message of 7p.
  • As we are sending to UK employees we double this to 14p per message.
  • Typically a SMS invite would be 3 messages long so the cost per invite would be 3 x 14p which is 42p.
  • We are sending 250 message so the cost would be 250 x 42p which is £105.
  • There is also the £100 processing fee so the total would be £205.


Example cost to send 250 invites to employees based internationally

  • For this example lets use a cost per message of 7p.
  • As we are sending to international employees we treble this to 21p per message.
  • Typically a SMS invite would be 3 messages long so the cost per invite would be 3 x 21p which is 63p.
  • We are sending 250 message so the cost would be 250 x 63p which is £157.50.
  • There is also the £100 processing fee so the total would be £257.50.
